How Peter Obi Shocked Charly Boy With Ghana Must Go Bag

Area Fada himself, Charly Boy, has shared a throwback that got many Nigerians smiling. In a Facebook post on Friday, the activist revealed how Peter Obi once surprised him with a “Ghana Must Go” bag — but not the kind people usually expect.

According to Charly Boy, Obi called him around 1 a.m. to request an early-morning visit. By 5:45 a.m. sharp, Obi showed up at his house — no African time. To Charly Boy’s amazement, the politician came carrying a huge Ghana Must Go bag.

Expecting money or something grand, Charly Boy later opened the bag only to find it stuffed with roasted groundnuts, alligator pepper, kola nuts, oranges, mangoes, bananas, and other local snacks Obi personally packed.

Quoting Obi, Charly Boy wrote: “Senior I no fit give you money, but I fit give you this one, na my hand pick.”

The entertainer said the gesture touched him more than cash ever could, reminding him that “sometimes na the little things go remind you say life no too hard.”

For Nigerians used to politicians flaunting wealth, Obi’s humble “native gift” stood out as a lesson in simplicity and thoughtfulness.
