Celebrity chef Hilda Baci is back in the spotlight as she kicks off her long-awaited Guinness World Record attempt to cook the largest pot of Jollof rice.
The event, currently underway at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, has drawn a massive crowd, with over 20,000 people reportedly in attendance.
Among those who showed up to cheer her on are popular faces like Enioluwa, Funke Akindele, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Tomike Alayande, and several other influencers and supporters.
A trending video captures Hilda, her mother, and her dedicated team pouring in jaw-dropping amounts of ingredients 30-litre containers of oil, goat meat, cartons of Gino paste, and more into a massive Calabar pot, specially prepared for the world record bid.
Hilda had earlier revealed her ambitious plan to use 250 bags of Basmati rice for the attempt, a feat that could earn her global recognition and further spotlight Nigeria’s beloved Jollof rice on the international stage.
