Tension gripped Utako in Abuja on Thursday morning after an alleged cable thief narrowly escaped being linch€d by angry residents.
The incident happened around 5 a.m. along Usman Sariki Crescent, where the suspect was reportedly caught trying to strip cables from a transformer. Eyewitnesses claimed he confessed on the spot before mob justice took over.
By the time the crowd dispersed, the man had been brutally beaten, his legs shattered, and left by the roadside, presumed dead.
