JAMB CAPS 2025/2026 Admission Status: How to Check and What to Do

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has activated the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal for the 2025/2026 admission exercise. Candidates can now log in to the platform to monitor their admission status and immediately know when they have been offered admission.

Once an admission offer appears on JAMB CAPS, candidates are required to either accept or reject the offer. Schools across Nigeria have already begun uploading their admission lists to the JAMB portal, making it essential for candidates to keep a close watch on their status.

It is important to note that not all institutions will publish their admission lists on their websites or notice boards. For such schools, checking through JAMB CAPS remains the only reliable way to confirm admission status.

How to Check Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

1. Visit 👉 https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/

2. Log in with your registered email address and password.

3. On your dashboard, click “Check Admission Status.”

4. Next, select “Access my CAPS.”

5. Click on “Admission Status” to view your current status.

If admitted, your photo and a congratulatory message will appear.

If not yet admitted, the response will read: “Sorry, No Admission has been Given Yet.”

Accepting or Rejecting Admission

Candidates who have been offered admission can respond in two ways:

Via SMS: Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.

At a JAMB-accredited centre: If you no longer have access to your registered phone number, visit the nearest JAMB office or accredited centre.

⏳ Note: You have 4 weeks from the date of the admission offer to accept or reject. Failure to do so may result in the admission being withdrawn.

After Accepting Admission

Once you accept your admission:

Proceed to print your admission letter from the JAMB portal.

Keep this document safe, as it will be required during school clearance and registration.

Important Tips for Phone Users

On mobile phones, the CAPS page may not fully display. Many users only see the welcome message without the admission options.

To fix this, open the portal using the Chrome browser, tap the options menu, and select “Request Desktop Site.”

This will allow the full CAPS page to load properly.

Share Your Admission Updates

If you have successfully confirmed your admission on JAMB CAPS, kindly share your experience in the comments section.

This helps other candidates, especially those applying to the same institution, to know when offers are being released.

For credibility, you may also upload a screenshot of your admission offer — but please blur out sensitive details such as your name, registration number, or contact information.

✅ Stay alert, check your CAPS regularly, and don’t miss your deadline to accept your admission.
